Thought for the Week

Pat Dale

“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”
– Mohammed Ali

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”
– Winston Churchill

Happy Dollars:

Jean Fox: Denny and I took a trip up into the mountains today to drive along the San Andreas Fault line.  In addition to it being in beautiful country we saw cool geologic formations and even a few fissures.  Thankfully, no quakes today and California did not break off and float away.

Dr. Kirsten Nelson: Jeff continuing with his fitness club training, and I with my crossfit workouts.

HaeKyung Nielsen:  am celebrating, my son Tyler's enthusiasm for cooking and wanting to learn more since he began his scouting ventures. The other was "role appreciation" in our premarital counseling. Having the opportunity and flexibility to take on and understand each other's roles in our home.

Pam Serdar: My rich experience at the Board of Ordained Ministry retreat in Buffalo, MN the week before.

Chip Groth: His daughter's nursing rotation with Minneapolis Children's pediatric ICU.

Assembly:

  1. Reviewed Rotary Club of Richfield's Presidential Citation progress.
  2. North Central President Elect Training, March 2017 Ames, Iowa
  3. Upcoming District 5950 Conference, April 28th Westin Edina, MN
  4. Potential public awareness - outreach opportunities for Richfield Rotary

Thought for the Week-Repeated

"Rotary has risen to so many challenges in its 112 years.
We've answered conflict with peace, and poverty with education.
We've responded to a lack of basic health care with projects large and small, from equipping clinics in tiny villages to eradicating polio across the globe...
The world is a far, far better place now than it would have been without Rotary...."

                                               -- RI President John Germ
